Billing Specialist

Billing / Accounts Specialist Key Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute detailed client invoices based on services provided
- Respond to billing-related questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely, professional manner
- Record incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and assist with deposit preparation and reporting
- Review and document account adjustments, including credits, overpayments, and write-offs
- Support onboarding of new clients by setting up billing profiles and maintaining accurate records
- Update and maintain pricing structures and rate changes within the system
- Assist with account transitions and closing processes when internal staff changes occur
- Provide responsive internal support to team members across departments
- Contribute to general administrative and operational tasks as needed
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience (3+ years)
- Comfortable explaining financial details to both internal stakeholders and external contacts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Well-organized with solid time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with billing systems and foundational accounting principles
