Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities.
The Staff Accountant collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
The role promotes the values, team culture, and mission of the organization.
Coordinate with external claims processor to ensure timely and accurate payment of medical expenses incurred.
Ensure that all invoices received are appropriately routed or coded and paid for.
Reconcile monthly payments received from federal and state agencies against member eligibility.
Work with enrollment functions to ensure proper patient enrollment in programs.
Verify that expense reports comply with policies.
Prepare draft financial reports for submission to government agencies quarterly.
Support the annual budgeting process.
Assist with monthly budget reviews.
Must be willing and able to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all procedures and information.
Follow organizational policies and procedures.
Participate in mandatory training and meetings.
Communicate regularly with supervisors and teams regarding workload and priorities.
Complete all mandated trainings and occupational health screenings as needed.
Exercise flexibility in assignments as business needs evolve.
