Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and staff
- Ability to assist in implementing lesson plans and adapt to students’ diverse learning needs
- Comfortable providing individual and small group instruction under teacher direction
- Committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Flexibility to work within various classroom settings and across different grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to reinforce instructional material and classroom routines
- Offer individualized and group support to students, including those with special needs
- Assist with classroom management and help foster a safe, respectful environment
- Prepare materials and resources for classroom activities
- Monitor student performance and offer feedback to the teaching staff
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom (lunchroom, playground, transitions)
- Support students in daily tasks, encouraging independence and self-confidence
