Skills REQ: Gynecology: Abdominal/ Vaginal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior repair, Bilateral tubal ligation, C-sections, Dilation & Curettage, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures. Plastics: Abdominoplasty, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction. Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Cardiac Monitoring, Conscious Sedation monitoring, Infection control, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Starting Peripheral IVs, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization, Wound Management. Work Settings: Ambulatory OR, General OR, Pedi General OR, Trauma. Trauma: Amputations, MVA (multiple injuries). Podiatry: Ankle fusion, Bunionectomy, Hallux vagus arthroplasty/arthrodesis, Metatarsal surgery. Orthopedic: Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction, Arthroscopy, Arthrotomy, Carpal tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/discectomy, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Open reduction of fractures, Ortho/Spine, Spinal Fusion, Total joint replacement. General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total. Endoscopic Procedures: Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Peg tube placement/exchange. Equipment/ Instrumentation/Supplies: Cell saver, Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Steris. Urology: Circumcision, Cystectomy, Cystoscopy, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Transurethral resection of the prostate. Emergency management: Code response, Fire Safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia. Robotics: Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Gastrointestinal robotic surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Orthopedic robotic surgery, Otolaryngologic robotic surgery, Urologic robotic surgery. Pedi Endoscopic Procedures: EGD, Flexible sigmoidoscopy, Peg tube placement/exchange/removal. Ear/Nose/Throat: Endoscopic sinus procedures, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Laryngectomy, Septoplasty/Rhinoplasty, Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy. Bariatrics: Gastric bypass, Gastric Sleeve, Laparoscopic assisted cases. Pedi Ear/Nose/Throat: Myringotomy with tubes, Tonsillectomy/adenoids, Tracheostomy. Skills Preferred: Gynecology: Scrub Gynecology Surgery. Plastics: Scrub Plastics Surgery. Trauma: Scrub Trauma surgery. Podiatry: Scrub Podiatry surgery.
