The City of New Smyrna Beach Finance Department is seeking an Accounting Specialist II! Address: 210 Sam's Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 Salary Range: $54,048.28 - $86,477.24 Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM About The Job The Accounting Specialist II performs advanced accounting and financial functions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administration. This position oversees the process of advanced financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and conformance within established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, with the ability to quickly learn and master governmental accounting procedures. In addition to financial responsibilities, this individual should be comfortable working with technology, capable of performing troubleshooting, and able to provide support to internal users when system-related issues arise. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level is highly desired, including the ability to work with formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
