Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Facility: Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center Location: Lakeland, Florida Position: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Schedule: Full-Time Pay Rate: $28–$38 per hour (based on experience) Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional therapy services that help residents improve mobility, restore function, and achieve their highest level of independence. Key Responsibilities Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other treatment interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Monitor resident progress and accurately document treatments, responses, and outcomes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines. Communicate resident progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Ensure resident safety by following established infection prevention and safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked therapy department. Inspect therapy equipment and promptly report malfunctioning or unsafe equipment. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to OSHA and facility safety standards. Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent customer service when interacting with residents, families, and team members. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to resident-centered care planning. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license . Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Passion for providing exceptional resident-centered care.
