Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within clients' homes, allowing therapists to witness patients in their everyday environment. You will be part of a collaborative team committed to patient care, making use of electronic health records (EHR) systems to document progress and coordinate with healthcare providers effectively. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Orthoworks, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical abilities and challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, setting measurable goals for rehabilitation.
• Provide clear and ongoing communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding treatment strategies and progress.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to enhance patient outcomes and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards.
• Perform patient education to empower individuals and their caregivers to understand diagnosis, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and patient interactions accurately in our EHR system, ensuring all documentation aligns with professional and regulatory standards.
• Engage in peer collaboration and interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute fresh perspectives to patient care approaches.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness of orthopedic health and physical therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus includes patients with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, chronic pain issues, and mobility impairments. You will work closely with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds to address their unique challenges and adapt therapies according to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in home health physical therapy, particularly with orthopedic patient populations, will be highly regarded. Additional certifications in specialized therapies or a history of leadership roles may enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
