Compliance Associate

Overview Compliance Analyst/Associate (New York, NY): A leading private equity firm with more than $5B in assets under management is seeking a Compliance Analyst or Associate to join its team in New York City in a #2 capacity. This is an awesome opportunity to join at an early stage, take meaningful ownership, and grow into a senior role as the program matures. Work directly with the General Counsel/CCO in building the compliance infrastructure. Broad exposure across the private markets compliance landscape, including records management, testing, contract review, and regulatory initiatives. High visibility and growth potential; designed for someone eager to develop into a well-rounded compliance professional. Based full-time in the firm’s New York City office (5 days per week). Collaborative, humble, and intellectually curious team culture. Responsibilities Support compliance program administration, including Code of Ethics monitoring and quarterly certifications. Assist with regulatory filings and maintain compliance records. Participate in testing, mock exams, and other internal reviews to assess controls and readiness. Research new regulatory developments and implement resulting compliance requirements. Review and organize contracts and related legal documentation. Partner across investment, legal, and operations teams to uphold firm standards. Contribute to continuous process improvements and best-practice enhancements as the firm scales. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; legal, compliance, or paralegal background preferred. 1–5 years of compliance or legal experience in private equity, private markets, or broader financial services. Prior exposure to compliance frameworks, policies, or regulatory filings. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
