Job OverviewA law firm seeks a detail-oriented and communicative associate in Seattle, WA, interested in building an employee benefits practice. The role involves transactional, counseling, and compliance work for health and retirement plans, with occasional litigation support. Duties Assist with negotiating investment transactions and various contracts. Draft government filings and employee communications. Advise on emerging legal issues, such as mental health parity requirements. Engage in transactional, counseling, and compliance work. Requirements 2-5 years of practicing law preferred. Experience with ERISA preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in the state of Washington preferred. Skills Strong communication and detail-oriented skills. Interest Interest in employee benefits law and related practice areas. Benefits Automatic employer contribution to the firm's 401(k) plan.
