Key Responsibilities

Must dominate the pastry station. Ensures all food and preparation of their stations are ready for every shift. Ensures all pastries are prepared by recipes designated by the supervisor. Responsible for complete set up, cleanliness and organization of the Pastry station before every shift. Cleans preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor. Completes safety training and certifications. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals. Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

Hospitality oriented. Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant. (Min.1 year). Pastry certifications, preffered. Technical pastry knowledge. Able to handle difficult situations effectively. Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift-up to 60 pounds. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have good communication skills in Spanish and English.
