Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain broad, hands-on experience across both business operations and core accounting functions. This role offers the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up and make a visible impact within a small, collaborative organization. The first few weeks will involve working closely with the West Coast sales team to understand the full order-to-shipment process and help develop training materials. From there, the role will transition into a variety of accounting responsibilities, including: Accounts Payable (AP) Bank reconciliations General Ledger (GL) support Assisting with month-end close Preparing and running financial reports Additional accounting and finance projects as needed What We\'re Looking For Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus Comfortable learning new ERP systems and technology 1-2 years of accounting experience or a strong accounting internship background Eager to learn, develop, and take on additional responsibility Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude Comfortable working in a small-company environment where responsibilities can span multiple areas Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual\'s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
