Work Environment\n

This position is a full-time remote role, primarily interfacing with students, parents, and educational staff through virtual platforms. Working within a school-focused model, you will engage with clients in a supportive and empathetic manner, establishing strong therapeutic relationships despite physical distances.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments and evaluations to identify students' mental health needs and tailor interventions accordingly.

• Collaborate effectively with school personnel, including teachers and administrators, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each student's academic and personal goals.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions using telehealth tools to engage students in a productive and meaningful way.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and correspondence with other care providers.

• Develop and facilitate workshops or training sessions for staff and parents to enhance understanding of mental health issues and foster a supportive school environment.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health counseling to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients within the school system, particularly students who may be experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or academic stressors. By adopting a tailored approach, you will work to empower students through effective counseling techniques, family support, and community resources, fostering resilience and emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a fully granted license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution; additional educational credentials are preferred.

• A minimum of three years of practical experience in counseling, with a focus on school-based or child and adolescent mental health preferred.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of various mental health disorders and treatment methodologies relevant to a young clientele.

• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Proficient in utilizing virtual tools and technologies for counseling sessions, ensuring a seamless therapeutic experience.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in a school-based setting, proficiency in evidence-based therapies, and familiarity with psychoeducational assessment practices are highly advantageous. Additionally, a background in crisis intervention and preventive strategies will greatly benefit your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
