Asset Manager

Asset ManagerRoofstock is looking to hire an analytical, entrepreneurial, and experienced Asset Manager to join the Mynd Investment Management team. This team player will be intimately familiar with the mechanics of optimizing rental properties, regardless of geographic location, to produce desired outcomes for investments of varying classes, and manage the operational nuances of various investor types. The Asset Management team will apply their expertise to influence all high value operating decisions with the goal of maximizing NOI and helping our investors achieve their goals, all while providing excellent service. The Asset Manager will advise our property managers at a regional market level through all crucial decisions in the investment lifecycle including leasing, marketing, renewals, rent recommendations, revenue management, turns, value-add capex, budget review, variance analysis, portfolio expansion and dispositions. The Asset Manager will play a critical role in monitoring market and investor performance trends to shape strategic initiatives company wide. The Asset Manager will enhance company performance through model maintenance, reporting development, and performance evaluation.Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for Asset Management clients, developing a deep understanding of each institutional partner's goals, reviewing portfolio performance to identify trends, partnering cross-functionally to drive execution against owner goals, supporting annual budgets, leading monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis, leveraging reporting tools to analyze data sets, partnering with internal data teams to improve performance visibility, producing financial reports, monitoring recently acquired assets, advising the Buying Team on market trends, developing and improving Asset Management SOPs, using AI tools to improve efficiency, maintaining broad market knowledge, participating in market visits, and possessing solid analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.Qualifications include 5+ years of asset management experience, a bachelor's degree, strong understanding of SFR operations, advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, experience with BI tools, ability to connect financial results to operational drivers, ability to interface with institutional investors, ability to influence cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills, high degree of ownership, comfort with change and technology, curiosity to use AI and automation, experience in a high-tempo organization, and solid analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.This role is expected to sit remotely from either Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Oakland, CA. Occasional market visits required.$105,000 - $130,000 on annual base salary. This role includes eligibility for quarterly performance incentives tied to individual and/or company performance. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors.
