Genetic Counselor Assistant

UPMC

UPMC is seeking a detail-oriented Genetic Counselor Assistant to support genetic counselors in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will gather and document family and medical histories, prepare cases for genetic counseling sessions, coordinate test ordering and insurance authorizations, and ensure accurate data entry in electronic health records. You will communicate with patients, providers, and laboratories, help manage results tracking and follow-up, and maintain educational materials. This position offers exposure to academic medicine, research, and multidisciplinary care within a mission-driven, collaborative health system.
