Housekeeping Manager

Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and service-focused Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations within a hospitality environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the property consistently maintains exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage staff, maintain operational excellence, and create a welcoming experience for guests. Key Responsibilities Housekeeping Operations Oversee all daily housekeeping activities to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the property. Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet established quality standards. Develop and implement housekeeping procedures, policies, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of all assigned areas. Team Leadership & Development Lead, train, coach, and supervise housekeeping team members. Provide ongoing performance feedback and support employee development. Foster a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture. Schedule staff and ensure appropriate coverage to meet operational demands. Guest Experience Address guest concerns and housekeeping-related issues promptly and professionally. Support a culture focused on outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction. Work proactively to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests. Inventory & Resource Management Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and housekeeping equipment. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and utilized efficiently. Monitor supply usage and identify opportunities to improve cost control without sacrificing quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate maintenance concerns and operational issues to the appropriate teams. Support property-wide initiatives focused on guest experience and operational excellence. Required Qualifications Previous housekeeping management experience within the hospitality industry required. Hotel housekeeping leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of: Housekeeping operations Floor care techniques Custodial practices Industrial cleaning methods Proven team leadership and employee management experience.
