Job Title Group Logistics Manager I Location Lockbourne, OH Overview We are immediately hiring a Group Logistics Manager I in Lockbourne, OH for a brand-new Ryder location. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in launching a new operation and shaping team culture from the ground up. The ideal candidate is a quick thinker who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and brings adaptability, strong leadership, and a passion for teaching and training others. In this role, you will help develop processes, mentor team members, and contribute directly to building the future of Ryder’s workforce. Compensation Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month Annual Salary: $135,000.00 per year (based on experience) Annual Bonus Incentive: Up to 20% or more of salary per year Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits start at 30 Days 401(k) Savings Plan with company match Discounted employee stock purchase options Employee discounts on tools, cars, appliances, travel, and more All major holidays paid and paid time off within your first year Up to 12 weeks paid maternity leave Summary The Group Manager Logistics I manages the overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts. This individual is responsible for the profitable retention and growth of business within his/her span of control, while ensuring that financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals are met. Essential Functions Goal setting, skills assessment, IDPs, career development, performance evaluation, ongoing employee feedback, disciplinary actions, warning documentation, and performance improvement plans. Developing direct and indirect reports, providing HR training information, and ensuring effective selection of qualified personnel. Creating location processes, maintaining SCLM, and cross‑training CLS and CLC. Customer satisfaction and problem resolution, KPI tracking and improvement, and ensuring staff training in Transportation/Distribution Management. Improving employee retention, reducing accidents, reviewing and reducing unnecessary overtime, and managing safety reporting. Recommending process initiatives, assigning responsibilities, conducting self‑audits of location processes, and overseeing accountability. Managing SOX invoice reconciliation, SOX revenue recognition, and invoicing to customers. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and self‑drive to excel in a fast‑paced environment. Multi‑tasking ability with excellent organization and time management. Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, supply chain or equivalent experience (2 years). Master’s Degree in related field (preferred). 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related industry experience. 5+ years managing, leading, and developing direct reports (preferred). 5+ years managing large multi‑level teams. 3+ years in developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management. 3+ years leading teams in a LEAN work environment (preferred). 3+ years in Profit & Loss responsibility (preferred). 1+ year managing customer KPIs. Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office) at intermediate level. Knowledge of truck brokerage, RD/Logistics/Transportation industry, Ryder Safety Programs, Ryder Financial Reporting and accounting procedures, Ryder products & services, Ryder sales process, and Ryder pricing models (advanced, preferred). Travel No travel required.
