Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Specialist Location: West Chester, Ohio Pay Rate: $21.00–$22.00 per hour Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: First Shift LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the West Chester area to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a long‑term position with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience handling invoice processing, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for payment Verify invoice information and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained Perform three‑way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents Process vendor payments through checks, ACH, and electronic payment methods Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all transactions Assist with month‑end activities, including account reconciliations and reporting Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices Support the accounting department with administrative and financial projects Identify and resolve billing discrepancies while maintaining data accuracy Qualifications Minimum of one year of accounts payable, accounting support, or bookkeeping experience Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Experience in a high‑volume invoice processing environment is preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework is a plus Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401(k) plan.
