Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher licensure
• Experience working with high school (9th-12th grade) students
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
• Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals
• Create a safe and positive classroom environment that encourages student growth
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes
• Work closely with other educators, therapists, and families to advocate for student needs
• Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional development
