Production Associate

Job Title: Production Associate – 1st Shift (Davenport)

Job Description

This role supports a busy warehouse operation by handling copper tubing and pipe used in customer shipments. You will complete a variety of production and material handling tasks across different departments, including cell production, saw operation, receiving, shipping, and work order processing. The position focuses on pulling copper tubing and pipe, preparing it with protective coverings, and ensuring all products are safely and correctly packaged for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Move copper pipe and tubing to designated pick locations throughout the warehouse.
• Pull and process customer orders accurately according to work orders.
• Apply barcodes and labels to pipe to ensure proper identification and tracking.
• Bundle and wrap pipe securely to meet quality and safety standards.
• Cut pipe according to cut sheets and production specifications.
• Segregate and identify scrap material in line with company procedures.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production or general labor in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and operate production or material handling equipment.
• Hands-on experience with machine operating tasks related to cutting or processing materials.
• Knowledge of basic inventory practices, including locating, pulling, and tracking materials.
• Ability to safely load and unload materials and products from trucks and storage areas.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple warehouse departments and functions.
• Comfort working with copper pipe and tubing and learning related processes.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks within 1–3 weeks of training.
• Strong attention to safety and quality when handling materials and preparing shipments.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for early morning 1st shift hours.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take direction and support coworkers.

Work Environment

This position is based in a non–climate-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The noise level ranges from quiet to moderate and can be loud at times, depending on department activities and the use of tools and equipment. You will work 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a hands-on environment that involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving pipe and tubing throughout the day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Davenport,IA.
