Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,832–$1,924 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: Short-term acute care hospital Travel assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the ER using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to clinical changes per evidence-based protocols Develop and implement comprehensive care plans; coordinate with physicians, technicians, and other disciplines to achieve expected outcomes Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff and support personnel, maintaining safe, efficient care delivery Educate patients and families, provide treatment education, and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care Document care accurately, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Requirements Licensure: Current registered nurse (RN) license in California Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience: Minimum two years of recent ER or acute care experience Certifications: Current CPR/BLS; ACLS and PALS required (AHA or ARC equivalents accepted); BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be active Vaccinations: Compliance with vaccination requirements per organizational policy; medical or religious exemptions may apply Competence: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced ER environment and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Fast credentialing process Nationwide assignments About Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
