Auto Service Representative Outside - Albany, NY

Position ASR Outside - CA09CN Overview Field appraiser position. Candidate must reside between Putnam and Albany County, New York. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of auto damage appraisals, operating within claim standards to provide economical repair or replacement, establishing Total Loss as needed, triage and utilize multiple estimating channels, reinspect repaired vehicles, assess repair costs, assess indemnity and expense exposure, provide outstanding customer service, work within a team and pursue continuous self‑development. Responsibilities Complete auto damage appraisals accurately and on time. Operate within claim standards to determine the most economical means of repair or replacement. Establish Total Loss values when necessary. Triage and utilize multiple estimating channels quickly and efficiently. Ensure training, quality standards and customer service requirements are met. Reinspect repaired vehicles and assess repair costs. Assess indemnity and expense exposure. Provide outstanding customer service and work within a team environment. Engage in continuous self‑development. Requirements Minimum four years of prior damage estimating experience and auto claim handling experience (highly preferred). Background in the service industry is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships. Operate with integrity at all times. Self‑motivated and able to work independently. Flexibility to travel for meetings and catastrophe duty. Must hold or be willing to acquire the state adjuster’s license as required. Reside in the assigned territory; failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
