Full Stack Cloud Engineer – Contractor| Hybrid – Chicago
This is a senior-level contractor role for someone passionate about AWS, serverless computing, and data pipelines .
What You’ll Do
• Own end-to-end application development (TypeScript/SQL) and infrastructure (Terraform)
• Design and build scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS and serverless architecture
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Partner closely with Product & Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Contribute to architecture, design decisions, and system scalability
What We’re Looking For
• 10+ years in cloud/distributed systems (AWS)
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/ JavaScript (Python is a plus)
• Experience with serverless computing, ETL pipelines, and relational databases
• Comfortable working across cloud + on-prem integrations
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
• Financial systems or insurance domain experience
• Exposure to data visualization tools
• Experience with Snowflake
