Description

• Assess and evaluate a variety of patients, spanning pediatric, adult, and senior populations, using standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans targeting short-term objectives and longer-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing language skills, communication efficacy, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring consistent care throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in adherence to local, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Remain engaged with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and team collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days post-employment.
