As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.40 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeSat07:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun07:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, common spaces, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to the location, observe and report unusual activity, and document incidents according to site-specific procedures. Support a welcoming and respectful environment while maintaining professional boundaries and communicating with site personnel as needed. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
