Intake Coordinator

Overview We’re searching for a Full Time, Contract Clinical Intake Analyst for our Healthcare client. In this position, you’ll act as the initial point of receipt for all incoming work for Clinical Services Operations—including documentation related to Utilization Management, Care Management, Disease Management, and Appeals. Responsibilities Receive and triage incoming clinical service documents for UM, CM, DM, and Appeals. Research member benefits and route cases into the appropriate workflow. Image documentation to comply with HIPAA and privacy standards. Manage workloads, distribute work within necessary timeframes, and meet quality/timeliness standards. Provide coverage for urgent/expedited appeals on long weekends. Perform basic administrative functions such as maintaining files, supplies, and assisting with correspondence. Qualifications / About you High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year of customer service or clinical services experience (or equivalent). Effective communication and basic writing skills. General computer knowledge (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook). Organized and detail-oriented with strong data entry skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare benefits/systems. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while also being a collaborative team player. Nice-to-haves: Prior experience in health insurance or provider/medical office settings.
