CNC Mill Machinist

Job description Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machine for the cutting of metallic materials Tool life management Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings and engineering specifications Perform 1st piece, in-progress and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and various gauges according to process documentation Perform operator maintenance Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issue Perform basic de-burr or rework of work in-process Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes Maintain work station to 5S standards Perform all work according to Advanced Machining and Tooling safety standards Comply with all Advances Machining and Tooling policies and procedures. Physical Demands At times, sedentary when deburring At times, 95% standing Routinely perform operations requiring hand and finger dexterity Carry parts and materials up to 50 pounds Will work the forklift when moving anything over 50 pounds Requires pushing, lifting, and pulling up to 50 pounds Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending and grasping in order to package/unpackage, move and set tools, equipment and materials Required Education and Experience 10% second shift differential 5+ years of Aerospace and Defense CNC machining experience Tool life management Awareness of general safety and quality systems Ability to read, write and interpret written instructions, blueprints, shop drawings and engineering specifications in English Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic Experience using G and M codes required Experience with 3 axis machine set up and operations required Must be able to understand CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) reports High School Diploma or GED Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Parental leave Vision insurance Schedule 8 hour shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate Poway, CA 92064: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) 5 years of Aerospace and Defense CNC machining (Preferred) Shift availability Night Shift (Preferred) M-F/ 2:15pm - 10:45pm Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Expert Staffing
