Make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. You’ll work with focused groups of 6-8 students in self-contained classrooms, foster individualized growth, and collaborate with a dedicated team, including two full-time paraeducators. Flexible options are available—choose between a full-time (1.0) position (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8:15am-4:15pm), or a part-time (0.5) role with adaptable scheduling.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education license
- Previous experience working with early childhood or special education populations is highly valued
- Skilled at developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational capabilities
- Ability to cultivate a supportive classroom environment for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead two groups of students (6-8 per group) in self-contained settings, with support from paraeducators
- Group 1: Tuesday-Friday mornings; Group 2: Tuesday-Friday afternoons
- Prepare and deliver engaging, compliant instruction tailored to each learner’s needs
- Participate in Monday paperwork, meetings, and float to support the ECSE program as needed
- Develop, monitor, and adapt IEPs in consultation with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster positive behaviors, social-emotional skills, and academic progress
- Communicate regularly with staff and families to maximize student success
