Payroll & Billing Specialist

How You Will Make an Impact As a Payroll & Billing Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Extension’s Accounting Department by managing weekly payroll processing, client billing, and key accounting functions. You will ensure assigned employee hours are accurately recorded, approved, and processed while maintaining strong relationships with Extension employees and clients. You will also assist with financial reporting, account reconciliations, payroll compliance, and special accounting projects to help drive operational excellence across the organization. What We’re Looking For Experience in payroll processing, billing, accounting, or related financial operations Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines A customer-service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally with employees, clients, and internal teams Knowledge of payroll processes, employment regulations, and accounting principles Experience with accounting/payroll systems and technology (QuickBooks, Bullhorn, Bilflo, or similar platforms is a plus!) Ability to analyze financial information, prepare reports, and assist with reconciliations Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership and find solutions A self-motivated team player who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement Why Extension?
