Manual Milling Machinist

Job DescriptionOPEX Corporation is looking for full time Manual Milling Machine Operators to work in our 180,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsauken, NJ. We are hiring for our first and second shift. The worker will be required to work both manual mill and manual lathe machines.Essential ResponsibilitiesMust be familiar with machining – primarily Aluminum, Stainless Steel and soft steelMust be efficient at using all machine shop measuring tools including micrometers, veneer calipers, and indicatorsMust have set up experience and understand toolingMust be able to read and understand dimensioned drawings and make parts to the printMust be familiar with and be able to perform to a production shop levelAbility to do various set ups without supervisorOther responsibilities as assignedQualificationsMinimum requirement for the position is 2+ years of experience in both milling and lathesWe strongly prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience but will consider aboveMust have the ability to lift 50 poundsKnowledge of Proto-Trac or Acu-Rite MillPWR controls a plusCandidate must be reliable and punctualMust be able to work overtime and weekends during busy season when requiredPhysical/Work EnvironmentsWorker will be working in a production shop settingWorker must be able to lift 50 poundsWorker must be able to stand throughout duration of their shiftAbout UsOPEX Corporation is more than a manufacturer of machines.
