Work Environment

This position is onsite at our school-based facility, providing a dynamic work environment surrounded by dedicated healthcare professionals. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, and educators, in a collaborative atmosphere aimed at delivering integrated behavioral health services. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations, accurately diagnosing various mental health conditions in patients.
• Manage medication treatments, ensuring monitoring and adjustment of prescriptions based on patient response.
• Collaborate with primary care providers to deliver holistic and integrated care, addressing both mental and physical health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention support to patients experiencing significant emotional distress.
• Engage in community outreach efforts, raising awareness and promoting mental health education.
• Deliver therapeutic counseling and psychoeducation, enhancing patient understanding of their mental health.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records, fully complying with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in our facility, you will work primarily with children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. Our integrated approach ensures that treatment plans are tailored to meet each patient's social, cultural, and educational needs, fostering a supportive environment where mental wellness can thrive.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with psychiatric specialization.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a community health center setting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and an understanding of cultural competence in providing mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive salary range of USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
