Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to join its laboratory team in Bradenton, Florida. The ideal candidate will perform routine and STAT laboratory testing, ensure accurate and timely results, and support quality patient care across multiple laboratory departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT clinical laboratory tests according to established procedures.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
• Work across multiple laboratory sections, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.
• Follow laboratory policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain required licensure, competency, and quality standards.
• Collect, process, and prepare specimens for testing and referral when needed.
• Use critical thinking and independent judgment to resolve testing issues.

Requirements

• Nationally recognized Medical Technologist certification; ASCP certification preferred.
• Florida state licensure as a Medical Technologist required.
• Associate degree in Medical Technology with formal medical technology training required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience in Blood Bank preferred.
