RN Fellowship PCU Nights

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Department: MHC 5E Progressive Care Unit Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Night Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, based on experience. This position is onsite only, no hybrid or remote option. Responsibilities Provides top‑scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process. Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Precepts newly hired nurses to model proficiency. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to safety and quality at the point of care. Progressive Care Fellowship For experienced nurses new to critical care, a four‑phase orientation based on AACN's ECCO® resources includes simulation, blocked learning, electronic orientation tracking, and knowledge verification. The program focuses on novice‑to‑expert theory and adult learning styles to support critical care competency. Progressive Care Unit Direct care in the PCU, a technically complex environment, following AACN's Synergy Model and specialty certification standards. Clinical educators provide individualized specialty education and training throughout orientation. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program, if less than 3 years experience. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum 6 months nursing (RN) experience. Valid BLS card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer) in hand before start date, valid through 60 days of hire.
