He/she will guide a mother through pregnancy assisting with all of the subspecialty appointments and tours. In addition, she will provide emotional support, educational materials, and be a first line contact for the families for all of their needs. The nurse navigator will communicate throughout the pregnancy with the referring physician. She/he will serve as a daily liaison between the patients, their family, the medical center, surgeons and staff. This role will also include community outreach projects. Qualifications Minimum: Associates Degree in Nursing Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing Other Qualifications: Two to three years of nursing experience in labor and delivery. Requirements: Registered Nurse - Licensed in the state of Florida American Heart Association BLS Organization Description West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County.
