We look forward to meeting you.The RoleThe Operational Strategy team works across the enterprise to establish investment and partnership strategies to meet customer demand, improve company performance, and introduce new technologies into the shipyard. In this position, you will lead operational strategy development to increase shipbuilding throughput, analyze constraints and opportunities, identify solutions, both internal and through partnerships, and lead stakeholders to execute the strategy.Responsibilities include:Leading cross-functional teams to develop investment strategies across operations, supply chain, workforce, and infrastructureConducting diagnostic analyses to identify constraints and opportunitiesIdentifying and implementing new technologies and processes to streamline operationsManaging execution of initiatives by partnering with stakeholders across the companyLeading internal teams and coordinating closely with initiative owners to develop and execute value creation plans, roadmaps and business casesPreparing strategy documents for senior internal and external stakeholdersPreparing cross-program reporting on strategy, investments, and execution of improvement initiatives.Must HaveBachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master?s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree :NNS Apprentice School graduateNavy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduateAssociate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experienceMilitary Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experienceHigh School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experienceWhy HIIWe build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space and cyber.
