Key Responsibilities

• Direct patient care by implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans that aim to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore physical function.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and develop actionable intervention strategies tailored to their needs.
• Oversee and train physical therapy assistants to ensure they deliver expert care and adhere to the established treatment protocols.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents such as heat and cold, to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Encourage patient engagement by instructing clients and their families in therapeutic exercises and the use of assistive devices as part of their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights on holistic treatment approaches that take into account physical, emotional, and social factors impacting patient health.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust patient care plans based on progress and changes in client status, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, stroke, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their physical capabilities, tailoring your approach to each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in the state of Florida (or eligible for licensure) in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• A genuine commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient care.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in clinical scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation management.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
