Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with orthopedic impairments, utilizing assessments derived from patient history, physical examinations, and relevant tests.
• Developing, implementing, and updating personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients to meet specific goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the continuum of care.
• Utilizing evidence-based methods to facilitate rehabilitation, employing various therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient-specific equipment.
• Providing ongoing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, progress, and expectations.
• Documenting care in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring that all patient records are accurate and comprehensive.
• Engaging in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and strategize care approaches.
• Staying updated with advancements in physiotherapy practices and participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on adult patients experiencing orthopedic issues resulting from conditions such as post-surgical recovery, traumatic injuries, or chronic pain syndromes. The selected candidate will be equipped and trained to address age-specific needs, facilitating targeted rehabilitation protocols that consider each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting and a demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based treatment approaches will be favored. Experience working in a collaborative team environment will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
