Description Veterinary Technician – Emergency Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center Round Rock, TX Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $22/hour. The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Schedule (full-time): 3x12 schedule with two weekday shifts and one weekend shift. About You You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients. Your Experience & Skills Role Responsibilities: Emergency Veterinary Technicians perform a variety of animal-health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. The Emergency Technician should be proficient in duties including but not limited to: client care and communication, efficient patient assessments, quick response to emergencies, patient monitoring, venipuncture, Iv catheter placement, patient recovery, anesthetic monitoring, diagnostic imaging,and medical math. Ideal Candidate & Requirements: At least 3 years of recent experience in a veterinary practice Strong veterinary skills, including the ability to perform and assist with routine medical procedures Ability to safely and appropriately handle animals Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High school diploma or GED Willingness to work weekends and holidays Previous emergency experience preferred but not required You’ll Grow with Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
