AP Coordinator

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with prior legal industry experience. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and understands the unique requirements and compliance standards involved in law firm accounts payable.

Insurance defense experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities

• Process and accurately enter a high volume of vendor invoices.
  
• Review and select invoices for payment in accordance with firm policies and vendor guidelines.
  
• Process check voids and maintain accurate payment records.
  
• Communicate professionally with vendors to resolve invoice and payment inquiries.
  
• Ensure compliance with law firm billing procedures, vendor requirements, and internal accounting policies.
  
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
  
• Prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  

Qualifications

• Required: Previous accounts payable experience within a law firm or legal environment.
  
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  
• Experience managing high-volume invoice processing.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with vendors and internal staff.
  
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  
• Insurance defense law firm experience is preferred but not required.
  

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
