What You'll Do

• Provide urgent care services for a diverse patient population
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, and splinting
• Evaluate and interpret point-of-care tests such as rapid strep, flu, and COVID-19 tests
• Manage airway support and emergency stabilization during episodic events
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR accurately
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality patient care
• Handle a fluctuating caseload of 25 to 50 patients daily, depending on season

What You Need

• Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of urgent care or emergency room experience
• Skilled in suturing, I&D, fracture stabilization, and point-of-care testing
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a high-volume outpatient setting

About the Assignment This outpatient urgent care clinic located in Midlothian, VA, operates daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM across multiple locations. Providers will manage patient care from birth to death, with higher acuity cases directed to appropriate facilities.
