Banquet Server

Silver Creek Valley Country Club, located in San Jose, CA is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Banquet Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay Range:

$18.45 - $30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare function site and assure meeting room is set according to specifications
• Serve food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines
• Set dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager
• Help to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment
• Assist in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area
• Ensure guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol

• Demonstrates good energy and motivation
• Knowledge of banquet set up
• Regular and reliable attendance
