The Junction Restaurant & Provisions is seeking an experienced Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our culinary leadership team.

Our kitchen is built around thoughtful, seasonal cooking, strong technique, quality ingredients, and an elevated approach to New England cuisine with Southern influence.

We are looking for a culinary professional who brings more than technical ability to the kitchen. The right candidate will be a confident leader, a strong communicator, and someone who understands that exceptional restaurants are built through consistency, organization, accountability, and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in developing a team, maintaining high standards, and delivering an exceptional product every service.

THE ROLE

Working closely with ownership and restaurant leadership, the Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager will help oversee all aspects of daily culinary operations, including:

• Leading and developing the culinary team
• Maintaining exceptional standards for food quality, execution, and presentation
• Overseeing prep, production, pars, and service readiness
• Managing ordering, receiving, inventory, waste, and food-cost controls
• Supporting scheduling and kitchen labor management
• Training cooks on technique, consistency, and proper execution
• Maintaining rigorous standards for sanitation, organization, and food safety
• Assisting with menu development, seasonal features, and special events
• Creating a kitchen culture centered around professionalism, accountability, and respect

THE CANDIDATE

• Has proven experience in a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or comparable leadership position
• Has a strong culinary foundation and understands proper technique
• Thrives in a high-volume, chef-driven environment
• Leads calmly and confidently during demanding services
• Understands food cost, labor, inventory, portion control, and waste management
• Is highly organized and detail-oriented
• Enjoys teaching and developing younger cooks
• Holds themselves and their team to a high professional standard
• Takes genuine pride in the craft of hospitality
