Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; candidates with only 1 year of experience will require manager review. License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Comfortable with CPAP/BiPAP, med titrations, charge-capable on nights, float required within organization Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. This position involves working night shifts totaling 36 hours per week. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. This role requires skills in managing CPAP/BiPAP and titrating cardiac drips. Charge nurse experience is preferred. Nurses will be required to float to different units as needed. Candidates must be familiar with high flow nasal cannula and oxygen administration. Experience with telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential. Unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various services including respiratory and physical therapy. Candidates should be prepared to manage a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to COPD, anemia, and bacteremia. This position will involve care and management of complex patients in a mixed acuity setting. Travelers must be proactive in completing necessary credentialing processes. References from professional supervisors or managers will be required during the application process.
