Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring their goals, preferences, and specific needs are comprehensively addressed.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively treat identified mood disorders.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them understand mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.

• Regularly monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care and treatment.

• Stay informed on the latest advancements and research in mental health treatment, which will influence treatment strategies and client care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including training in addiction counseling and attending team-building workshops.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on working with individuals who are navigating mood disorders, including conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse population, providing individualized care that respects each client’s cultural, emotional, and personal background. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be vital in helping clients explore their struggles, build resilience, and foster a recovery-oriented mindset.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is mandatory.

• Current knowledge of California laws and professional ethics is essential.

• Ability to clear a criminal background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• A recent TB test (within the last six months) is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or therapy.

• Experience in treating behavioral problems, learning disabilities, and social/emotional challenges is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range between USD 115,000 and 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
