Legal Assistant

About the Role The Blau Law Firm is a leading criminal defense firm in downtown Oklahoma City. We are looking for a part-time legal assistant to join our growing team. This is a wonderful position for students interested in pursuing a career in the legal field and an excellent place to learn and get a head start. You must be a self‑starter with strong communication and organizational skills to excel in this position. Job duties This is on on-site position with a flexible part-time schedule. Job duties will be mostly administrative (such as answering phones and emails, running office errands, collecting mail and office organization) with some legal duties (filing documents at various courthouses, sitting in on client meetings, drafting simple documents, evidence review, trial preparation and proofing legal documents). Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Some familiarity with the legal process, terminology and documents is preferred Able to work as a team with attorneys and collegues Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines Knowledge of law and legal processes, with exper Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, attorneys and court personnel Administrative assistance experience, including calendar management, document handling and office equipment and support. Proficiency with office and legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems) Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and follow firm policies and procedures Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
