Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate the trauma histories of clients and determine the most effective treatment strategies.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to process trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.

• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrist colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, aiding clients in managing acute distress.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms to help them navigate their recovery journey effectively.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all records are up to date.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continued education activities that focus on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, ranging from survivors of abuse to those suffering from PTSD and complex trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts is required.

• Strong background and knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.

• Proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling or therapy role is preferred, we will consider candidates who are driven and passionate about trauma care, even if they are relatively new to the field.
