Jupiter Nursing and Healthcare Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Admissions Director to join our ever-growing team.

Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Must be able to clinically review and evaluate medical documents to determine admission

2. Experience in a skilled nursing facility in Admissions Department role is required

3. Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner

4. Good organizational, planning and marketing skills

5. Knowledge of hospital discharge planning and policies as it relates to the long term care population

Admission Director's Duties Include:

Receive and clinically review all referrals regarding prospective residents from all referral sources including hospitals, home, alfs, etc within 20 minutes

Checks insurance benefits and sends for authorizations for new admissions in a timely manner

Inform necessary departments of the arrival of new residents and coordinate the admission process as outlined in the facility policy.

Oversees and works with the marketer and liaisons to create ways to increase census and quality mix

Responsible for maintaining census

Contacts all families/ residents prior to admissions to ensure needs will be met

Ensures all patient information is inputted into EMR prior to arrival

Sends Am/ end of day Census
