This high‐profile will serve as the senior financial leader for Pierre Fabre’s US operations and as a strategic business partner to the CEOs and executive teams of the Dermo-Cosmetics businesses with high level of exposure to our pharmaceutical entity. The CFO will sit on the executive management team of Pierre Fabre USA, be the dedicated business partner, overseeing the FP&A team as well as a shared US Accounting organization, a pivotal part in shaping financial strategy, execution and success across the US.**The ideal candidate will bring:*** Experience as a subsidiary or functional CFO with HQ reporting, preferably in a European group environment.* Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS reporting, with hands-on technical accounting experience.* CPA designation (prior Big 4 highly preferred) and proven ability to manage complex technical accounting topics.* Leadership experience across both Accounting and FP&A functions.* Distribution, contracts, and manufacturing oversight experience.* Experience with M&A, growth phases, and post-deal integration.* CPG experience strongly preferred.* Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.**Essential Functions:****Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership*** Advise the CEOs and Management team on the financial aspects of their strategic orientations and business decisions.* Act as a key business partner to functional leaders, providing financial insight to support growth, profitability, M&A, and long-term value creation.* Leverage prior experience as a subsidiary or function CFO with HQ reporting to ensure effective alignment and communication with Global/European headquarters.* Perform management analyses and provide decision-support tools to local management teams.* Maximize financial performance by tracking and analyzing trends, variances, and key drivers; provide recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-to-serve.* Apply best-practice governance standards to decision-making and oversight.**Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting*** Direct and oversee FP&A activities to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational goals.* Lead the preparation, follow-up, and analysis of the annual budget, forecasts, and five-year plans for the US perimeter.* Compare sales and profit projections to actuals and budgeted expenses; recommend adjustments to future projections and budgets.* Direct the preparation of all financial statements for US entities, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.* Ensure financial reporting is fully compliant with US GAAP and IFRS, drawing on hands-on technical accounting expertise.* Support the preparation and transmission of monthly and six-month reporting packages and other required data for Group consolidation; review and improve planning and reporting processes, leveraging prior HQ reporting experience.**Accounting, Tax, Cash & Controls*** Oversee all local accounting operations via the Controller, who leads a shared accounting center supporting both the Dermo-Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals entities. Ensure and be accountable for the accuracy and quality of the financials for both entities, including fixed asset tracking, amortization tables, and production of local and group consolidation data.* Provide technical accounting leadership (CPA, Big 4–style rigor) across complex transactions, including those related to M&A, distribution, contracts, and manufacturing.* Manage tax declarations in accordance with local laws and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.* Oversee cash management: monitoring bank and cash outflows, bank accounts, reconciliations, group loans, management reports, and optimization of financial flows.* With support from the shared Finance team, prepare, select, and transmit information required for external and internal audits.* Ensure implementation and adherence to Group control procedures and good practices, particularly in the areas of: + Investments, purchases, and expenses + Cash management and loans + Sales, customer accounts, payment collection, and marketing spend + Inventory tracking, estimates, depreciations, provisions, etc.**Pharma-Specific Responsibilities*** In close collaboration with US pharma head of Finance:* Provide financial accounting leadership, insight, and challenge and determining the accounting impact to the P&L, including gross to net.* Ensure all corporate deliverables and financial obligations related to business development partners and CDMOs, distribution and manufacturing contracts are met and accurately accounted for.* Apply prior pharma experience to support the evaluation and optimize investments, partnerships, and launch strategies.**Dermo-Cosmetics & Shared Services Responsibilities*** Lead and manage the shared US Finance center, ensuring effective support to both Dermo-Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals across Accounting and FP&A.* Serve as a key business partner for the Dermo-Cosmetics entity in the US, supporting growth and profitability initiatives.* Oversee procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with financial policies and regulations.* Drive process automation and future transformation of Finance operations, leveraging prior experience in growth, integration, and transformation phases.**Systems, Real Estate & Cross-Functional Projects*** In collaboration with the IT team, lead or support long-term projects (e.g., SAP, EDI, web-portal, CRM) to enhance financial data quality, reporting, and process efficiency.* Apply strong systems and controls knowledge to ensure data integrity across US GAAP and IFRS reporting.* Oversee real estate and lease management for the US entities; verify the validity of contracts and leases in collaboration with legal counsel.**Governance, Ethics & Culture*** Ensure that all interactions and engagements are conducted with the highest ethical and professional standards, and that all work is executed with quality and in accordance with Pierre Fabre values and industry best practices.* Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Finance organization.* Lead and mentor a high-performing Finance team across Accounting, FP&A, and shared services, drawing on prior leadership experience.* Perform other duties as required by the business.**Competencies*** Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving* Ability to be hands-on while improving processes* Strong Leadership & People Management (Accounting + FP&A)* Performance Management* Personal Effectiveness / Credibility* Strong Communication & Influencing Skills, including with HQ/Group stakeholders* Technical Capacity (accounting, FP&A, controls, systems; prior Big 4 experience highly desirable.* 15+ years of progressive experience in Finance (e.g., External/Internal Audit, Controlling, CFO, FP&A) within a company of similar size and complexity.* Experience as a subsidiary or functional CFO with responsibility for HQ (preferably European) reporting and Group consolidation.* Strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry required or highly preferred; experience in rare disease, cell therapy, and oncology strongly valued.* Experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical sector highly preferred; experience in consumer/dermo-cosmetics a plus.* Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with hands-on technical accounting experience.* Leadership experience managing multiple direct reports and leading both Accounting and FP&A teams.* Experience with distribution & contracts, and manufacturing oversight (including CDMOs and supply chain contracts) preferred.* Experience with M&A, growth phases, and post-merger integration in a multinational context.* CGP experience strongly preferred (e.g., corporate governance, compliance, and internal control frameworks).* Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, management, and financial analysis.* Experience with SAP implementation or major ERP systems is a strong plus.* Experience in organizational and finance transformation is a plus.**Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:*** This position based in Secaucus, NJ, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with two remote days each week.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Travel:**Occasional travel up to 10%**Compensation and Benefits:**Salary Range: $220,000 – $350,000This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions within the applicable job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on a range of factors including experience, education, location, and other relevant qualifications.
