Job Opportunity – Postpartum/Antepartum Registered Nurse – Virginia

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts every 6 weeks. Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday for nights or Saturday/Sunday for days). Every other holiday. 4:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:

• Postpartum and antepartum care with couplet care model in a Baby-Friendly designated unit
• Float opportunity to Level II nursery/Special Care Nursery within skill set required
• Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout the facility
• Daily census of 15-30 patients across 30 beds with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off (RTO) may be approved during the 13-week contract
• 24 hours of orientation provided, including specialty-specific training

Requirements:

• Valid Virginia RN license (or pending; must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in postpartum/antepartum nursing
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• NCC EFM and ACLS certifications preferred
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, non-stress tests, and external fetal monitoring preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Willingness to float to NICU for Level II nursery patient care (orientation provided)
• BSN preferred
