Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to understand the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific needs, goals, and preferences, using evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Engage in regular assessment of client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, various treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote mental wellness.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care solutions.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and accurately document all client interactions and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, case consultations, and team meetings to stay informed about the latest research and treatment methodologies.

• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and addressing stigma associated with mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals facing mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety, including but not limited to vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of these issues and a compassionate approach to provide support and guidance in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, underpinned by strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and challenges.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a diverse caseload.

Preferred Experience\n
