Client: Consumer Goods Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper Contract to Hire Payrate: $30/hr-$35/hr -Converting at $75,000-$80,000 Location: Secaucus, NJ Fully Onsite 5 days a week **Must have QuickBooks experience Job Description: Bookkeeper We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 10+ years of hands-on accounting experience to manage daily financial operations in a lean, small-business environment. An accounting degree is strongly preferred, and excellent QuickBooks experience is required, ideally with both Desktop and Online, including migration and cleanup. Responsibilities: Manage full-charge bookkeeping, including AP, AR, GL, vendor payments, cash receipts, ACH/wires, and cash management. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Review POS sales, cash-outs, deposits, discrepancies, and POS-to-QuickBooks data transfers. Support purchase orders, receiving, inventory counts/analysis, and vendor payments. Process biweekly QuickBooks payroll and monthly sales tax filings and payments. Manage month-end close, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting packages for the CPA. Maintain employee records and assist with workers’ compensation, licensing, and compliance. Requirements: 10+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience with a strong full-charge background. Advanced QuickBooks skills; experience with both Desktop and Online preferred. Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll, sales tax, reconciliations, and month-end close. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a mature communicator who can work independently. Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a small-business environment. Ability to work fully onsite in Secaucus, NJ.
